Dr. Shockley has been your neighbor her whole life. She grew up in charming Cumberland Gap and now lives a short distance from her practice. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Kentucky in 1999 before relocating to beautiful East Tennessee. In addition to her Dental Degree, Dr. Shockley holds a certification from Progressive Orthodontic Seminars' two year course in 2010 and Certification from Peer Practicum Implant Dentistry in 2004. As of most recent, she obtained her certification from the American Academy of Esthetics to administer Bortulinum Toxin (BOTOX) and Dermal Fillers, as well as treatment for Frontline TMJ Orofacial Pain Therapy. Other achievements include the Tennessee Dental Association's Certificate of Achievement for Continuing Education in 2007 and 2008, Partners in Education recognition for her work at Brickey Elementary School in 2000.
When Dr. Shockley is away from work she is busy with her two terrific four-legged children Teddy (Poodle) and Skippy (Chia). Traveling with her spicy and sassy mother, Kathy. As a mom and after practicing in this community for over 23 years, Dr. Shockley understands how important it is to choose the right dentist for your family. She is warm and caring, and wants to encourage you to talk with her about your oral health concerns, including topics such as Implants, Orthodontics, Gum disease, and Teeth whitening.
