Kayla
Insurance and Scheduling Coordinator
Kayla joined our team in 2022. After attending school for Medical Billing and Coding, she began her career in Long Term Care, where she found a passion for helping others to determine insurance benefits and presenting financial options. In 2015, Kayla decided to make a change and has been in dentistry ever since. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, their children Kenleigh, Colson and Greyson, attending church, and traveling. Kayla looks forward to serving patients in this office (she refers to as a hidden little GEM) for many years to come.
Shannon
Registered Dental Assistant
Shannon began her dentistry career over 18 years ago with certifications in coronal polishing, nitrous oxide, sealants, and radiation. In 2018, Shannon started working with and assisting Dr. Shockley. During her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time on Norris Lake, Jeepin', Cooking, and attending church with her husband Mike, and daughters, Michaela and Breanna. (Lets not forget her pup, Yeager and her two grand- pups Willow and Loki) Shannon is a genuine southern charm.
Nina
Registered Dental Hygienist
Nina, a Nashville native, relocated to Knoxville in 2017 where she began working alongside Dr. Shockley to provide quality care for their patients. Nina has 12+ years of experience and is Licensed in Dental Hygiene, Advanced Laser Therapy, Nitrous Oxide, and Local Anesthesia. Nina provides a caring, compassionate approach and loves taking care of her patients. In her free time she enjoys cooking, being outdoors, spending time with her 7 year old son Kamden and her rescue pup Otis. Nina is a true free-spirit.
Sharon
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sharon brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the office. Prior to obtaining her Registered Dental Hygiene and Local Anesthia License in 1996, she was a Registered Dental Assistant for 16 years. Sharon grew up on a family farm in Indiana, then had the opportunity to live in California and Florida then found her sweet spot here in Tennessee. Along side Sharon is her husband Max of 36 years, their son Dexter, and two grandaughters Jada and Livia. Oh.. and we cannot leave out her best fur buddy, Gunner. In her free time she enjoys knitting, DIYing, ballroom dancing, and attending concerts. Sharon has a calming spirit and you never catch her without a SMILE.
